How we use your information

This page explains what Find Your Side Hustle collects, why, and how you stay in control. It is written for the UK and covers the assessments and the optional emails.

Your assessment answers

You can complete both assessments without giving us any personal details. Your answers and your progress are stored only in your own browser, so clearing your browser data removes them.

Why we collect email addresses

We collect an email address only when you ask us to send a copy of your results. We use it to send that copy and, where you have separately agreed, the weekly side-hustle email.

When you submit the form we store your email address, the date and time, which assessment you completed, a reference to the saved copy of your result, whether you consented to the weekly email and when, the page you submitted from, and the version of the consent wording you saw. We do not collect more than that.

Results emails are transactional

The email containing your results is a transactional message: it is sent because you asked for it, once per request. Asking for your results never adds you to a marketing list.

Marketing emails require separate consent

The weekly email — one realistic UK side-hustle idea each week — is optional and requires you to tick the consent box yourself. The box is never pre-ticked, and consent is never bundled with your request for results.

If you ask for your results again later without ticking the box, an existing weekly subscription is left as it is; we only ever change it when you actively choose to.

How to unsubscribe

Every weekly email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. You can also ask us to remove your details entirely by replying to any email we send you.

How long we keep your information

Subscriber records are kept for as long as you remain subscribed and for up to 24 months after your last request, so we can honour unsubscribe requests and show that consent was given. Saved result copies are kept for 12 months and then deleted.

Who processes your information

Our website and database are hosted on Lovable Cloud, which provides the application hosting and the database that stores subscriber records. Emails are delivered by the email infrastructure provided with that hosting. Both process your information on our instructions only.

Your rights and contact

You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us by replying to any email you receive from us.
